She Stood Anyway is a faith-filled anthology that turns your deepest pain into a testimony. Feel seen. Get strengthened. Hear God again. Rise with women who refused to quit so you can stand, healed and full of purpose.
You smile at church. You answer texts with "I'm good." But when the house gets quiet, the grief gets loud. The loss still sits in your chest like a stone, and you wonder if anybody would hold you if you finally told the truth.
When heaven feels silent
You still believe, but it feels like heaven went silent. You pray and your words fall flat. You worship, yet your heart feels far away. And the hardest question keeps haunting you: "God, where were You when this happened to me?"
When your story feels too messy
You've replayed the mistakes, the relapse, the betrayal, the "I should've known." You've tucked your story behind a pretty smile because it feels too messy for ministry. So you keep hiding while God keeps calling your name like you still belong.
Why this book exists
The reason why She Stood Anyway was created is simple: women shouldn't have to bleed in silence.

You'll Be Built Up
These pages don't just inspire you, they build you. Scripture, reflections, and prayers meet you right in the mess, then lift your chin. Your faith gets re-fired, your spirit gets steadied, and you learn how to keep standing even when you're shaking.
You'll Walk in Purpose
You'll stop calling yourself "broken" and start calling yourself "chosen." You'll see the fingerprints of God all over the parts you thought were wasted. And you'll walk away knowing this: your pain didn't disqualify you, it prepared you for purpose.

A Note from Apostle
Linda Jordan
Sis, I want you to know something before you read a single word of my chapter.
Grief is not a sign that your faith is weak. It is a sign that you loved deeply. And loving deeply is never something to be ashamed of.
I lost my mother at fifteen. I lost my sister Marsha. I lost my father — my bishop, my covering, my greatest encourager. And then I lost my sister in ministry, Denise — the one who sang heaven down before every sermon, the one who pushed me academically, the one who was prouder of my calling than almost anyone on earth.
Four losses. Four pillars. Four chapters of my heart that closed before I was ready.
There were days when continuing felt impossible. Days when I reached for my phone to call someone who was no longer here. Days when ministry felt heavier than I had the strength to carry. Days when I wondered how I was supposed to keep pouring into others when I felt so completely emptied myself.
But Yahweh carried me. Every single time.
He kept me in the pulpit. He stretched me. He sent me to Africa. He sent me to the broken, the forgotten, the hungry, the lost — even while I was still quietly grieving. And somewhere in the pouring out, He was filling me back up.
I wrote this chapter for the woman who is trying to keep going after loss. The woman who is still showing up for everyone else while carrying something heavy and private. The woman who wonders if the grief will ever fully lift.
It does not disappear. But God redeems it. He takes what you lost and turns it into legacy.
Their love lives in everything I do. And your losses — as painful as they are — do not have to be the end of your story either.
Keep going, sis. They poured too much into you for you to stop now.
With love and legacy, Apostle Linda Jordan Contributing Author | She Stood Anyway
